Alot of people struggle to live within their means. Either because they are spendthrifts who dont really care about being in debt or that they are just not organised enough. For those who fall into the first category, this app will not be able to help you on your way to financial ruin but for the ones in the second category, this might be just what you are looking for.
Ace Budget is a finance tracking app that allows you to assess exactly how much money you have coming in and going out.
It take a few minutes to get the hang of the orientation but once you have that you will have no problem navigating around it.
You can create daily, weekly, monthly, semimonthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets for an unlimited number of categories. You can also schedule transactions, set reminders, view graphs, historical data, and much more. Every feature of Ace Budget is designed to be quick, clean and intuitive. Ace Budget Lite has all the same features except you are only limited to 20 transactions which was in fact enough for me to be honest.
In each budget category may it be utility bills, leisure or mortgage repayments, you can add individual expenses or income.
Adding an expense is easy - again, just hit the "+" button. An expense can be set up as recurring for regular predictable expenses like rent. You actually create a list of recurring expenses, and when adding a new expense, you can choose from that list if you like.
There is an ability to export data via email as a CSV file. You can look at historical data, but it is simply tabulated.
Here are some of its primary features;
Charts and Reports
See your monthly income vs. expense and spending by budget with charts and reports.
Backup
Backup your data wirelessly to your desktop computer
Multiple Budget Cycles
Create many different budgets whether they be daily, weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly budget cycles.
Transaction Reminder
To remind when certain expenses are due.
Transactions Scheduling
Schedule recurring transactions based on the start date and frequency you choose.
Slightly disappointingly, there is no ability to graph the budget or get overall budget reports. It would be beneficial to see visually how you’re spending it, as well as get reports on the categories that you are routinely over budget or under budget on. These would be the sort of features that would make it stand out. There are many other expense apps out there like this so dont rush out to get his one. Check out a few other reviews I suggest and see which one has has the features that you would require.
Im giving this one 3 of out 5. Could offer alot more.
